IPR Press Day - London Shoreditch

 

A few weeks ago myself and a five other girls from UCLan Fashion Promotion got the chance to go for a day out in London at the fantastic offices in Shoreditch, IPR London's Press Day.

It was lovely to get away from Preston for a day and explore London whilst having the chance to check out some of the newest collections/designers from SS/16.

An amazing chance to really get a real taste of what I am to expect when I go into the Fashion industry, furthermore a fantastic talk for IPR's Harvey gave us students a real insight into the PR world.

Brilliant day, highly recommend getting yourself down to IPR before it's too late if this is something you're interested in.

Back home for Summer means only one thing right?

This isn't a style I'd usually opt for and it's an absolute cry away from my usual flared tops and floral dresses but the best part of Summer is you get to experiment with attires outside your comfort zone.

Positivity is key

I just thought I'd do a quick post update as lately I've been a bit absent from the blog.

As any regular readers will know I've recently gone to university, just three weeks away from completing my very first year (where has the time gone?!) as much as I love my new found lifestyle it does make blogging very difficult for me!

I'm absolutely loving my degree so far, it just seems so uncanny that I've found a course that is as perfectly suited to me as this one.

I just thought I'd let you all know I plan on doing lots and lots of posts this summer but for now I am just enjoying doing me and really getting myself infatuated into a BA of Fashion Promotion!

She done my makeup all nice so I thought since I haven't blogged in a while I'd use some of the images as a bit of a blog post too.

A change for the better...

You can never lead life in a certain direction, I'm a strong believer in the term 'everything happens for a reason' and of course change is inevitable. 

One thing however I know for sure is that if you want something, you better go and get it, else you'll be sitting coasting your life away in a dead end 9-5 job that's getting you no where. 

That wasn't the life I wanted for myself.

I live in a very small village, just in-between Cambridge and Norwich and as much as I love to return there every once in a while, chill out, take life in and of course see my lovely family and friends, there was no way I was staying there forever.

I've chose to go to University at the complete opposite end of the country to my home and have ended up in Preston, Lancashire (The University of Central Lancashire).

I can openly say this is the best and easiest decision I ever made for myself, within the space of just three months I've met friends that could easily be my future children's godparents and of course to top it off I'm studying a degree I'm absolutely in love with.

Although at first this was a hugeeee step for me and I could of easily bailed out at the very last minute and just lived my life in comfort of my parents, that wasn't the independence I needed to take control of my own life.

This is a fresh start for me and a fresh start for my blog, I hope more than ever you'll be here for the long haul of brittsbazaar...
