A change for the better...

You can never lead life in a certain direction, I'm a strong believer in the term 'everything happens for a reason' and of course change is inevitable.
One thing however I know for sure is that if you want something, you better go and get it, else you'll be sitting coasting your life away in a dead end 9-5 job that's getting you no where.
That wasn't the life I wanted for myself.

I live in a very small village, just in-between Cambridge and Norwich and as much as I love to return there every once in a while, chill out, take life in and of course see my lovely family and friends, there was no way I was staying there forever.

I've chose to go to University at the complete opposite end of the country to my home and have ended up in Preston, Lancashire (The University of Central Lancashire).
I can openly say this is the best and easiest decision I ever made for myself, within the space of just three months I've met friends that could easily be my future children's godparents and of course to top it off I'm studying a degree I'm absolutely in love with.
Although at first this was a hugeeee step for me and I could of easily bailed out at the very last minute and just lived my life in comfort of my parents, that wasn't the independence I needed to take control of my own life.

This is a fresh start for me and a fresh start for my blog, I hope more than ever you'll be here for the long haul of brittsbazaar...

All my love,

Landaaaaan!

Aloha!
Better late than never for a quick blog post! I'm coming up to the very end of my A-Levels now and with the stress of uni/student finance and accommodation my life has been pretty hectic, leaving almost no time for blogging at all (wahhhh)!
Anyway I went to London a few days ago to catch a few exhibitions in Tate Modern and Tate Britian and took some typical tourist pictures!
I love the warm undertones of all the images so I thought I'd share them with you!!

Enjoy-
and if any of you are in the same overload of a-level work as me at the minute good luck and remember it will alllll be worth it in the end when we're rich and successful (hahaha)!

All my love xoxo

Artificial Autumn!

Whats that?! Two Outfits Of The Day all in one?? THAT'S RIGHT!

ALOHA!!
Admittedly I absolutely hate rain and wind... however these characteristics of Autumn/Winter aside I think it's my favourite time of the year! I get to wear my big boots all the time and I'm not even scrutinized for it, not to mention the endless amounts of layer I can cosy myself in!
A-Level again are taking over my life, ever more so than last year I'm up to my neck in UCAS applications, personal statements and deadlined coursework so the one minute I get to take a Friday afternoon walk in the woods why not share it with you?!

DIY DORAN!

 (BEFORE!!!)

Hi hey hello aloha!!
I thought I'd do a post that was a bit different today, initially this wasn't a project I planned to blog about but I was just so please with the final outcome I thought it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to ramble about it (If you're not keen on bamblings then quick look away now!!!)

I had two weeks of time to waste, I'd just finished all of my exams and was blessed with two weeks study leave (since all my exams were already finished this turned into two weeks lazy leave with the exception of this little creation).
Basically we'd had the brown cupboard shown in the 3rd picture above shoved in the garage for years, or at least since I can remember, as far as I was concerned it was a hidden dime collecting dust screaming to be made into something new and as far as my parents were concerned it was 'junk'. So as soon as I had these two weeks free I decided I was finally going to turn it into something! (I'd always planned to just never really had the time). My bedroom has always been short of a dressing table and storage space so I thought this would be the perfect substitute for the both. I sanded down the piece and gave it a double coat of primer and then simply covered it in eggshell for the soft cream textured finish coat and then waited until it was all dry to sand down in certain areas for a 'shabby chic' finish.
All in all it only really took me two days to finish baring in mind drying  processes in between which meant I had the rest of the two weeks holiday to sit and look at it!
I couldn't be anymore pleased with the final outcome, it even came out better than I'd expected it to! Subsequently I'm looking forward to creating more of these beauties in the summer holidays to come!

Hope I didn't bore you all too much and why not try something like this for yourself?...
love always xoxo
